Manager Log Book Widget Overview

Stay on top of 7shifts performance metrics and task completion with the Actuals and Task Summary widgets. These tools within the Manager Log Book provide valuable insights into your restaurants daily operations.


The Actuals Widget

With an active POS integration or 7punches for time clocking, you will see a dashboard of each Location's performance. Managers can quickly assess how their location is performing in real-time and adjust strategies accordingly.

⚠️ Only Managers/Assistant Managers with the Can manage schedules permission will be able to view this Dashboard/Widget within the Manager Log Book.

The following will be displayed above your custom categories:

  • Total Sales - Daily Actual Sales will be pulled from your POS.
  • Total Labor - Labor costs will be pulled in for those using 7punches, or who have an Actual Labor integration with a POS. 
  • Labor % - The actual labor % is calculated by taking your actual labor costs / actual sales.
  • Weather - You'll need to have your city entered under your Location settings to see this.
  • Average Shift Score - If you are using Shift Feedback, you will see the average score for the day here. Click on 'View Shift Feedback' to see all Employee ratings and comments.

The Task Summary Widget

The Task Summary Widget is designed to keep you informed about task completion status at a glance. It provides a summary and detailed breakdown of tasks directly within the Manager Log Book and is also included in the daily summary email for Admins, Managers, and Assistant Managers. This widget helps improve team accountability and transparency by making task status easily accessible.

⚠️ The Task Summary Widget may require an upgrade from your current plan.
⚠️ Only Admins can enable/disable the Task Summary Widget.

⚠️ If no tasks have been completed in 14 days, the widget will not appear in the Log Book.

⚠️ If the location does not have Tasks, the widget will not appear in the Log Book.

Key Benefits

  • A consolidated view right within the Manager Logbook - cutting down the time it takes to see the status of tasks and their completion rates
  • Improved team accountability and transparency by having information easily available
  • Provides additional context into your day-to-day restaurant operations recorded in the Log Book

How to Use the Task Summary Widget

The Overview tab shows a donut chart of completed, in progress, and incomplete tasks.

Switch to the Detailed Breakdown tab to see each Task List, its status, and completion rate.

Task Statuses: 

  • Completed = % of tasks for today that have been completed
  • In Progress = % of tasks that are not completed, but are not yet past their due dates
  • Incomplete = % of tasks that are not complete and are past their due time

Task Summary Email

All the information found in the widget will now be included in the daily summary email (just without the donut graph).
