7shifts Payroll for Employees

Below is your 7shifts Payroll guide that will assist you in configuring your profile with all the necessary information, and ensure that you are ready for payroll processing.

Complete your Onboarding Documents

Follow through with this article about Onboarding for Employees to submit your documents.

  • While all onboarding forms are crucial, prioritize completing your Personal Information Form to ensure that you are included in payroll.

You can submit your documents via the web (app.7shifts.com), or the mobile app. If you don't have the mobile app yet, feel free to click on either of the links below:

7shifts' free mobile app will allow you to access your schedule anytime, anywhere. You'll also be able to easily swap upcoming shifts, communicate with your team, and submit availability and time-off requests.

Update Your Legal and Tax Details

⚠️ If you claimed "exempt" from federal and state withholding tax on your 2023 W-4 form, please be aware that this exemption expires on February 15, 2024. To maintain your exempt status for 2024, head to the Taxes and Payment tab to update your W-4 form.

Update Your Payment Details

⚠️ Viewing and updating payment methods is only available for Accounts using 7shifts Payroll.

⚠️ Employees with a Pay Card set up from a previous configuration will be able to switch away from that option, but won't be able to save a new Pay Card configuration.

Easily manage your payment information, including your preferred payment method (i.e. Direct Deposit and Paper Check). Use the tabs below to switch between the web or mobile experience:

Web Mobile
  1. Login to the web app.

  2. Click on your profile icon at the top right (or, select Settings) > My Account.

  3. Select the Taxes and Payments tab:

  4. Enter your banking details.

  5. Click Save to complete these changes.



A W-2 form summarizes your total earnings for the year and the amount of taxes that have been withheld from your paychecks. Traditionally, Employers would provide a paper copy of the W-2 form to their employees, but you now can receive a digital copy. 

View Your Paystubs

⚠️ Viewing paystubs is only available for Accounts using 7shifts Payroll. For more questions about this, reach out to your Employer.

With 7shifts Payroll, you can review and download your paystubs directly from the web or mobile app:

Web Mobile
    1. Log into the web app.

    2. Click on your profile icon.

    3. On the My Account page, select the Paystubs tab:

    4. Click Download to export your paystub onto your local device.

    5. You can expect your paystub to look similar to:
