How does 7shifts calculate weekly wage rates?
Answer
When using weekly salaries, the wage is equally distributed across all 7 days of the week for:
- the Locations and Departments that the user is assigned to.
- has Appear on schedule enabled in their assignments. Including salaried employees.
For example:
If a manager's total weekly salary is $1000, and they are set to appear for only two Departments (under one Location), then $500 each will be allotted to the labour costs of these two Departments.
When using 7shifts Payroll, the calculation for weekly salaries is based on 5 workdays to reflect standard workweeks. This is different from other 7shifts features, such as Labor Budget Tool and labor reporting, which distribute wages evenly across all 7 days of the week.
