How to run Tip Pooling reports
Once you have configured your Tip Pool, you can generate comprehensive reports to review how tips were distributed among your team. These reports provide the transparency needed to ensure your staff is paid accurately and on time.
Things to Know
Important: To access Tip Pooling reports, Managers and Assistant Managers must have both the "Can run reports" and "Can run tip pool reports" permissions enabled.
- Rule changes: The open pay period will be updated even if a rule changed halfway through the period, or if a past pay period was opened after rules were modified.
- Deactivated employees: Deactivated staff are removed from the open pay period. This affects your report figures if a past period is reopened after their deactivation.
- Double-counting: Be cautious when assigning employees to multiple pools to ensure tips are not being counted twice.
- Closed Pay Periods: If timesheets are not closed for the selected period, you will be prompted to verify punches and close the period to ensure correct calculations.
- Tip Pooling reporting is only accessible via the web app or an iPad.
- At least one active Tip Pool must be set up in your 7shifts account.
