How to fix Unassigned tips in the Tip Pool report

Unassigned tips occur when 7shifts cannot link POS data to a specific employee profile or role. This happens when 7shifts receives information from your POS integration but does not have a designated "home" for that data within your settings.
Why this happens
- Employees may have unmapped or ignored profiles.
- Staff members might be missing active time punches for the period they earned tips.
- Punches may be missing an assigned role, which prevents 7shifts from distributing tips properly.
- Tips may be processed under generic "ghost profiles" or takeout accounts (delivery/mobile orders) in the POS that are not mapped in 7shifts.
What to do
- Ensure all staff members are correctly mapped between your POS and 7shifts.
- In 7shifts, go to Time Clocking and select Review next to the correct pay period to verify active punches.
- Add a role to any punches that do not have one selected.
- Verify if tips were processed under generic roles in your POS and set up an "Unassigned-only Contribution" in 7shifts to redistribute delivery or mobile order tips.
