View Punches
If your team uses 7punches for time clocking or syncs punches via an integrated POS, you can view punches in 7shifts. This guide explains how Admin, Manager & Assistant Manager users can view employee time punches on 7shifts, both on web and mobile. Use the tabs to switch your viewing preferences between the mobile and web app.
⚠️Punches can be viewed by Admin users + Manager/Assistant Manager users assigned to that Location, with the permission: 'Can manage time punches'.
- Log in to the mobile app > tap on the More menu ' ☰ ' in the bottom right corner of your screen > select Time Clocking.
- Tap on the calendar icon to view today's punches:
- Change the day by tapping on the date (or use the arrows to move forward/backward):
- Click on the blue Location icon to switch between locations.
- Use the tabs to switch between Unapproved and Approved punches:
- Tap on a punch to expand more details of the time card:
- Login to the web app > select Time Clocking in the left navigation bar > click Review next to the appropriate pay period:
- In the Employee Punches tab, use the filters to sort and narrow down your results. You can filter by location, department, role, day, employee, and punch flag:

Select Columns to customize the information shown in your data table, and use the toggles to enable or disable column options:

Using a different screen size? Scroll horizontally on your data table to reveal all your enabled columns. - Click on the tile button to change your view from Table View to Card View:
- Hover over any Exceptions to reveal exceptions that apply to that punch:
- Click the edit pencil or anywhere on the punch details the punch to open the individual time card:
- Use the Integration Warnings tab to action and review any incomplete labor data.
