How to Cancel Your Company 7shifts Account

We're sad to see you go! As an Admin user, you can cancel your 7shifts account directly from the web app.

Things To Know

• Account cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and 7shifts does not issue refunds for remaining days.
  • Your account remains active until that date.
  • No refunds are issued.
  • You can reactivate at any time before your billing period ends.
• Free trial accounts expire automatically at the end of the trial period and do not require manual cancellation steps.
• 7shifts does not offer seasonal holds; however, deleted account data is held securely for 2 years so businesses can reactivate subscriptions upon reopening.
• Accounts with active multiple location subscriptions will lose access when the earliest subscription expires unless unneeded locations are deleted before their respective billing dates. Learn how to delete an individual Location here. 

How to Cancel a 7shifts Account Subscription

1. Log in to the 7shifts web app as an Admin user.
2. Open the left navigation menu and select Settings > Billing.
3. Click the Cancel Account button.
4. Select a reason for subscription cancellation from the provided prompt.
5. Confirm the cancellation request.

After completing the steps:

• Your account enters a pre-cancelled state.
• A banner will appear on the top of your screen indicating the number of days left on your 7shifts subscription (if there are fewer than 31 days left in your billing cycle).
• You’ll continue to have access until the end of the billing period.

Subscription Restrictions During Pre-Cancellation

While a 7shifts account is in a pre-cancelled state prior to the final billing cycle date, the following account modifications are restricted:

• Upgrading or downgrading active subscription plans.
• Adding or removing business locations within the account settings.

How to Reactivate a 7shifts Account

Admin users can reverse an account cancellation at any point before the subscription billing cycle officially ends:

1. Navigate to the top banner display or access the account Billing page.
2. Click the Reactivate Account button to restore full active subscription status immediately.

7shifts Payroll & Tips Users

If your account has Payroll or Tips enabled, you'll need to disable these features before cancelling.

Disable Tips

• Tips can be disabled directly by the admin in the 7shifts web app.
  1. Select the prompt to "Disable Tip Payouts."
  2. You'll be redirected to the Tips Add-on page,  
  3. Click the More menu (three dots) and select Remove add-on.

Cancel 7shifts Payroll

• 7shifts Payroll can be cancelled directly by the admin in the 7shifts web app.
  1. Select the prompt to "Disable Payroll."
  2. You'll be directed to Payroll Dashboard where you can "Cancel 7shifts Payroll."
