Notifications for Employees

As an employee here's how you can review any incoming notifications and update your notification preferences within the 7shifts. You can customize your notification preferences within your Account. For example, if you don’t want to receive SMS/push messages, you can change your notifications so that you only get emails.


Manage Your Notification Settings

Use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:

Mobile 📱 Web 🖥️

  1. Log in to the mobile app and tap on the More menu icon > tap Notification Settings:



  2. Toggle on Push Notifications (recommended) to receive push rather than SMS/text:



    Here's an example of a push notification:

  4. To disable or enable a notification, simply tap on the 'Mobile' or 'Email' icons. If they appear in orange, it means they are enabled:


Review Your Notifications

You can review your notifications on the mobile app for things like schedule publishes, time off and availability requests, and shift pool requests.  Use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:

     
  1. Log in to the mobile app > tap the bell icon at the bottom right menu:

  3. You'll be taken directly to a list of your recent notifications.

    • New notifications will appear in blue.
    • Previously read notifications will appear in white.

     

  4. Tap on a specific notification to be taken to that request (if applicable) or your schedule:
