Mandatory MFA for 7shifts Pay Products

Effective February 26, 2025, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), also known as 2-Step Verification, will be required for all users of 7shifts Pay Products, including Tip Payouts and 7shifts Payroll. This mandatory security measure enhances account protection and reduces the risk of fraudulent activity.

All users associated with a 7shifts account utilizing Pay Products will be prompted to complete MFA when logging into the 7shifts platform (web and mobile).

Messaging Notifications

Released February 24, 2025 

Email notifications will be reduced for Messaging updates. Here's what to expect:

• If you have both push and email notifications enabled, you will only receive a push notification for messaging updates (e.g., comments or replies.
• If you have only email notifications enabled, you will continue to receive email notifications as usual.
• Announcements will still trigger push and email notifications.

For new customers, the option to enable both email and push notifications for messaging will no longer be available.

Weekly Overtime Report

Released February 19, 2025 - Web 

Manage overtime more effectively with our new Weekly Overtime Report. Quickly identify employees approaching overtime thresholds and see estimated costs based on remaining scheduled hours. This allows you to proactively adjust schedules and minimize overtime expenses.

'Include Service Charges' in Net Sales 

Released February 13, 2025 

We've added a new setting that allows you to include service charges in your Net Sales calculations. This is available for locations integrated with Toast, TouchBistro, Revel, and Square. By default, service charges are excluded from Net Sales. You can enable this option in your 7shifts/POS Integration settings.

Send Onboarding Packages in Bulk 

Released February 4, 2025 - Web

Users with Employee Onboarding and/or 7shifts Payroll can now send multiple onboarding packages simultaneously. Previously, onboarding packages had to be sent individually. This new feature on the Onboarding page simplifies the onboarding process, particularly for new 7shifts Payroll customers.
