Tip Pool Effective Dates and Version History - Coming Soon
Tip Pool Effective Dates and Version History let managers schedule when pool changes take effect and view a complete history of past configurations directly in 7shifts. You can set rule changes to start on a future date instead of immediately, giving you full control over pay calculations without unexpected recalculations mid-week.
- Select a specific start date during setup or editing to determine exactly when new calculation rules begin.
- Open any pool's change history table to review historical settings, status changes, and replacement dates.

Check version details to confirm which rules applied to tips during any specific pay period.
Note: These tip pooling updates are rolling out to 7shifts accounts in phases over the next several weeks, so you may not see them yet.

Employee Training Translations and Course Previews
Automatic translations and live previews in Employee Training let you build training content once and deliver it to your team in their preferred language. Employees can switch between English, Spanish, and French directly inside each lesson on web or mobile.
- Turn on automatic translation under Training > Settings if you are an Admin or Manager with the "Can manage training" permission.
- Preview lessons in real time within the Course Builder, or review an entire course from start to finish before sharing it with staff.
- Check the translated Spanish or French versions using the translate icon during preview to confirm the material looks right before you hit publish.

Give staff flexibility with a built-in language picker on their device, along with an option to view the lesson in its original language.

Attestation Management
Attestation Management allows admins to collect and track employee break compliance directly from the 7punches time clock app at punch-out.

Enable pre-built meal and rest break prompts on the Pro Plan, or add up to two custom questions on the Premium Plan to track shift-specific tasks.
- Prompt employees with customizable questions, affirmative or negative response choices, and optional follow-up questions before they finish clocking out.
- Alert department managers automatically with push and in-app notifications whenever an employee submits a negative response.
- Review and filter all compliance responses by location, department, role, or response type in the dedicated Attestation report.

7shifts Payroll - 2026 Year-End Checklist
The 2026 Year-End Checklist is now available in 7shifts to guide 7shifts Payroll admins through tax season prep. You can track progress, review business tax setup, and manage employee tax details directly from your account to avoid tax penalties.
- Verify business tax details and confirm Third Party Administrator (TPA) access is current in your tax setup.
- Confirm employee earnings and personal details before previewing W-2 forms.
- Manage paperless statement consent to help avoid printing and mailing fees.
- Record missing external payments using off-cycle payrolls with the Paper Check payment method.
- Annual 2026 W-2 forms will be available in your account on January 19, 2027.
