Canceling your 7shifts Account

Managing your 7shifts account includes options for canceling your subscriptions or account when needed. Whether you are concluding a trial or deciding to discontinue services, it’s important to understand the cancellation process to avoid billing issues and ensure a smooth transition out of the platform.

Cancellation alternatives

Deactivating Locations

Deactivating a Location is useful when you need to pause operations without permanently deleting data. This option ensures you’re not billed for that Location while it’s inactive, and you can reactivate it anytime directly in your 7shifts account.

Seasonal Holds

If your business operates seasonally and you plan to pause operations temporarily, you don’t need to fully cancel your account. Instead, you can place your account or specific Locations on hold to stop billing during your off-season and reactivate when you reopen.

Starting the cancellation process

To cancel your account, access the Billing section and follow the prompts to terminate your account directly in the web app.

Trial account expiration

Trial accounts on 7shifts automatically expire after 14 days without action. No manual cancellation is needed during this period. Once expired, access to paid features is discontinued, and there will be no charges to your subscription.

Important considerations

Before cancelling, consider exporting your scheduling and payroll data for your records. Cancellation will stop future billing and access, but won’t erase your information immediately.
