How to Request a Message History Export in 7shifts

Issue

You need to access the full message history for your company, including messages sent and received by employees in 7shifts.

What To Do

To access historical messaging data, please contact us via chat.

Our team can export the entire company's message history, but it cannot be filtered by individual user or by announcements.

⚠️ Only Admin user types can request this information. Note you may be required to verify yourself.

To request a message history export for your company:

  1. Identify the company account: If you have multiple company accounts linked to your name, please specify which account the request is for.
  2. Provide the date range: Indicate the date range you are wanting included on the message export. The team can export all message history from the account's opening date if needed.
  3. Understand export limitations:
    • The export will include all historical messages for the entire company account.
    • Message exports cannot be filtered by individual user, so we will always provide all the historical messages for the entire company, even if just one user is requested.
    • Announcements are separate from messaging and will not be included in the message export.
    • Exporting a large volume of data can take up to 30 days.
  4. Confirm email for report delivery: The reports will be emailed to the designated Admin email address once exported from the backend system.
