Why isn’t ‘Prevent Early Punch-In’ working with my POS integration?

Why can employees still clock in early on the POS when I’ve enabled ‘Prevent Early Punch-In’ in 7shifts?

Answer

Settings found under Time Clocking > Settings > 7punches Settings only impact users who are clocking in through the 7punches time clock app. These settings do not apply to employees clocking in via your integrated POS system.

To manage early clock-ins on your POS:

  1. Check Your POS System Settings: To manage early or late clock-ins when using a POS integration, you will need to check the settings within your specific POS system. Many POS systems have a customizable area where you can set the number of minutes employees are allowed to clock in early or late

    2. Contact Your POS Provider: If you are unsure how to locate or adjust these settings in your POS system, please reach out to your POS provider's support team for assistance.
