How to cancel 7shifts Payroll

We're sorry to see you go! If you have decided to stop using 7shifts Payroll, you can cancel the service directly from your 7shifts account settings.


Things to know

Important: Only Admin users have the necessary permissions to cancel 7shifts Payroll.

  • Cancellation of 7shifts Payroll is effective immediately and cannot be scheduled for a future date.
  • 7shifts Payroll becomes unavailable for paying employees as soon as the cancellation is confirmed.
  • Admin users must provide a reason for cancellation to ensure tax responsibilities are handled correctly.
  • If the business is switching payroll providers, tax filing responsibilities for the current year transfer to the new provider.
  • Admin users must export and save all historical documents and payroll reports before finalizing the cancellation.

Cancel 7shifts Payroll

  1. In 7shifts, navigate to the Payroll section.
  2. Select Business Settings.
  3. Click Cancel 7shifts Payroll at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click Start Cancellation and follow the on-screen prompts.

  5. Enter the reason for cancellation, such as business closure or switching to another provider.
  6. Enter the name of the new payroll provider if applicable.
  7. Acknowledge that 7shifts will no longer file, pay, or report taxes on behalf of the business.
  8. Acknowledge that 7shifts Payroll will no longer be used to run payroll or pay employees.
  9. Confirm that all necessary reports for business records have been downloaded.
  10. Click Cancel 7shifts Payroll to finalize the process.
