How can I make my schedule not viewable to staff?

Issue

As a manager, I want to prevent my staff from seeing my scheduled shifts in 7shifts.

What To Do

In 7shifts, employees can always view the schedules of the departments they are assigned to. If your manager shifts are created within the same department schedule as your staff, they will be visible.

To create a separate schedule for management:

⚠️ Note: Only admins have the necessary permissions to create new departments and update Manager assignments. Share these steps with your account admin.
  1. Create a New Department:
    • Request your account admin to create a new department specifically for the management team. 
    • Refer to this article for instructions on adding/updating departments: Add & Update Departments 
  2. Assign Management Staff:
    • Assign all management team members to this newly created department.
    • Refer to this article for instructions on how to update employee assignments: Update Employee Assignments 

By scheduling manager shifts within this separate department, staff will no longer have visibility into those schedules.
