What Do the Colored Stripes on the Schedule Mean?

Question:

I see some shifts on the schedule that have colored stripes. What do these stripes indicate?

Answer:

The colored stripes on the schedule represent Shift Flags. These flags are added manually to shifts or automatically based on employee time clock activity. They highlight specific attendance issues. There are three types of Shift Flags:

  • Sick: Indicates an employee was marked as sick for their shift.
  • Late: Indicates an employee arrived late for their shift.
  • No-Show: Indicates an employee did not show up for their scheduled shift.

Each flag has a different color, making it easy to identify at a glance. Shift Flags help managers identify potential employee engagement issues.
