How to Re-Sync an Employee Profile to a New POS Profile

Issue

My employee’s 7shifts profile keeps going inactive after their POS profile was deleted. How can I remap an employee to a new POS profile in 7shifts?

What To Do

When an employee's original POS profile is deleted, 7shifts detects it as an inactive employee and removes them from the active list. This is expected behavior when Employee Sync is enabled, as 7shifts mirrors the status of employees in the POS

In other words, if an employee's 7shifts profile becomes inactive after their POS profile was archived and replaced, it means the employee sync is still tied to the deleted profile. 

These instructions are best completed by an Admin as only they have access to integration settings. Follow these steps to re-map their profile correctly:

Turn Off Employee Sync

  1. Log in to the web app as an Admin.
  2. Navigate to Apps & Integrations > My Integrations > Settings.
  3. Toggle off Employee Sync.

Reactivate the Employee

  1. Navigate to Team > Inactive.
  2. Find the employee from the list of Inactive Employees.
  3. Click the More options icon > Reactivate.

Update Employee Mapping

  1. Navigate to Apps & Integrations > Mapping > All Mapping Status.
  2. Click the More options icon next to the incorrect profile.
  3. Select Unmatch.
  4. Rematch their profile to the new POS profile.

Turn On Employee Sync 

  1. Navigate to Apps & Integrations > My Integrations > Settings.
  2. Toggle on Employee Sync.
