Why can't a Manager approve Shift Pool requests even with full permissions?

Question

Why doesn't a Manager with full permissions have the ability to approve Shift Pool requests?

Answer

If a Manager/Assistant Manager has all the required permissions but still can't approve shift changes, it’s likely because they are not assigned to the correct Location or Department assignments.

In 7shifts, Managers and Assistant Managers can only review, approve, or deny shift changes (including shift pool requests) for employees who are assigned to the same Location(s) and Department(s) as them. In other words, if they are missing a Location or Department assignment, they won’t have visibility over the correct shift pool requests.

Managers/Assistant Managers can't update their own assignments. This must be done by someone with a higher user level type. To resolve this issue, ensure that the Manager/Assistant Manager is correctly assigned to the appropriate Location(s) and Department(s) in your 7shifts account structure.
