Password Reset and Login Credentials

Things to know


Important: Admins, Managers, and Assistant Manager passwords must contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.
  • Password reset links sent via email are valid for 24 hours before they expire.
  • Employee passwords must contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number or symbol.
  • All passwords must avoid personal info (name, email) and common sequences such as "abc" or "123".
  • Passwords cannot contain three repeating characters, such as "aaa" or "111".

Reset your own password


If you have forgotten your password, you can request a secure reset on the 7shifts sign-in page.

  1. Navigate to the 7shifts sign-in page and click Forgot password?
  2. Enter the registered email address you use to sign in to 7shifts.
  3. Click Send password reset.
  4. Check your email inbox and click the password reset link provided.
  5. Enter a new password that meets the complexity requirements for your user type.
  6. Return to the login screen and sign in using the new password.

Important: If you cannot log in after a reset, remove any autofilled credentials from your browser and manually type your email address and new password.

Reset a password for an employee


Admin, Manager, and Assistant Manager users can trigger a password reset for an employee directly from the employee profile.

  1. Go to Team > Employees.
  2. Click on the employee profile.
  3. Under the Personal tab, click Send password reset.

Note: This sends a secure password reset request directly to the email address listed in the employee profile.
