Why does the Add Tips screen display incorrectly in cash tip pools?
Issue
When trying to manually add tips to a cash tip pool on the web app, the Add Tips screen appears glitched. Columns overlap, numbers look jumbled, or the daypart options are hidden.
Cause
The tip pool was previously configured to calculate by Dayparts, but the account's current subscription plan no longer includes access to that feature. Because Dayparts is disabled, 7shifts can't render the original settings correctly, causing the display error on the Add Tips screen.
What To Do
Update each affected cash tip pool to calculate Daily instead of by Dayparts. You'll need to repeat these steps for each cash tip pool showing the glitch.
- Log in to 7shifts as an Admin.
- In the left navigation bar, select Tip Management.
- Click Tip Pooling.
- Locate the affected cash tip pool, click the three dots icon next to it, and select Edit.
- Change the calculation frequency from Dayparts to Daily.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the Add Tips screen updates and only the Total Daily Tips column appears on the right side.

If the glitch persists after updating all affected cash tip pools to Daily, contact support.
