Manager Log Book Task Summary Widget

The Task Summary widget displays task completion metrics and statuses directly within the Manager Log Book and the daily summary email for Admins, Managers, and Assistant Managers. This widget highlights team accountability and visibility by making real-time operational task summaries accessible across 7shifts platforms. 

Things to Know


Important: Only Admins can add or remove the Task Summary widget from Manager Log Book categories.

  • To use the Task Summary widget, you must have the 7tasks add-on enabled, which may involve upgrading your current plan.

  • The Task Summary widget automatically hides from the Manager Log Book if no operational tasks have been completed at the location within 14 days.

  • The Task Summary widget will not appear in the Manager Log Book if the location does not have the Tasks feature enabled.

  • Mobile access for the Task Summary widget is currently exclusive to iOS devices.

How to use the Task Summary Widget

  1. Log in to the mobile app and tap the clipboard icon on the bottom menu bar.
  2. Scroll down to the Task Summary chart for a breakdown of completed, in progress, and incomplete tasks.
  3. If today's date is selected, tap View tasks to head directly to the tasks section of the app and see all assigned tasks for the day.

    Note: The View tasks button only appears for the current day, since the mobile app only displays tasks for today.

Task Statuses


  • Completed: % of tasks for today that have been completed.
  • In-progress: % of tasks that are not completed, but are not yet past their due dates.
  • Incomplete: % of tasks that are not completed and are past their due time.
     

Task Summary Email


All the information found in the widget will now be included in the daily summary email (just without the donut graph).
