Welcome to your February update! Our team has been hard at work refining 7shifts to work even better for you and your staff. We’re thrilled to roll out these latest upgrades, built to streamline your operations and sharpen your management toolkit.

7shifts Payroll Credit Limits
7shifts Payroll now includes automated credit limit tracking to ensure secure and stable funding cycles for your business. These limits apply to accelerated 2-day processing and help you manage your weekly payroll funding while providing clear options if you need to process larger amounts.
- You can process up to $200,000 per week using 2-day processing for each of your company's Employer Identification Numbers (EINs).
- Select 3-day processing or wire transfer options directly from the payroll preview if a specific run exceeds your current weekly limit.
- Qualify for an automatic limit increase to $350,000 after three months of active payroll history and ten successful runs without funding failures.
- Access same-day payment options by selecting wire transfer and submitting your transfer details before 4:00 PM ET.

New Jurisdictions for Advanced Labor Compliance
We’ve expanded our Advanced Labor Compliance coverage to help you stay ahead of complex local labor laws. We now support automated rules for Right to Rest and Predictive Scheduling in the following jurisdictions:
California: Emeryville & Berkeley
Illinois: Chicago & Evanston
Washington: Seattle
Oregon
New Compliance Rules
Right to Rest ("Clopen" Protection): Receive alerts when shifts are scheduled without the mandatory minimum rest period. The system will automatically calculate any required premium pay if the rest period is breached.
Predictive Scheduling/Predictability Pay: 7shifts will flag schedule changes made within local notice periods and automatically calculate "Predictability Pay" penalties.
Access to Advances Labor settings, may require an upgrade from your current plan.

New - Employee Export
We have overhauled the Employee Export to include more data points and filtering options.
Exports now include Pay Type, User Status, User Type, Hire/Termination dates, Employee IDs, Birthdays, and Addresses.
Filter by Location, Department, Role, and User Status when exporting from the Reports page.
Employees with multiple assignments now appear in distinct rows to ensure all roles and locations are captured.
Navigate to Reports > Employee Export to apply filters and download your CSV.
This update is available to all customers. Managers and Assistant Managers can access these exports based on their existing permissions for editing employees and running reports.

Mobile Dashboard - Who's working blocks
Stay on top of your daily operations with real-time insights right from your phone. Our updated 'Who’s working' blocks on the mobile dashboard give you a clear, instant look at your team’s status throughout the day.
Instantly see the number of employees who are currently On, Overdue, Upcoming, Out or on Break.
The blocks act as a quick shortcut—just tap any category to see the full list of names and shift details for that group.
Monitor live punch data as it happens, whether you use 7punches or a synced POS integration.
Spot overdue shifts or "no-shows" immediately so you can reach out to staff or find coverage right away.

Clair On-Demand Pay
Provide your team with financial flexibility at no cost to your business. With Clair On-Demand Pay, employees can access a portion of their earned wages early through the 7shifts mobile app. Clair handles all the funding and repayments, so your current payroll process and reporting remain exactly the same.
This feature is being rolled out in phases and may not be available to all accounts at this time. You will receive an email notification when your business becomes eligible.
Clair manages all the funding, compliance, and repayment, so you don't have to worry about any extra administrative work or changes to your payroll.
Your staff can advance up to $100 at a time to help cover immediate costs like gas or groceries between paydays.
It is completely free for your business to offer, and it's free for employees too, unless they choose to pay a small fee for an "Instant" transfer.
Because these are private transactions between Clair and your employees, you aren't notified when someone takes an advance, and you aren't responsible if they can't pay it back.
You stay in the driver's seat—you can easily enable or disable this feature at any time right from your 7shifts account under Settings > Add-ons.
