Brunswick Bowling POS

Brunswick Bowling is an all-in-one POS built for bowling centers that automates ordering, reservation, and self-service. Once integrated, your sales and labor data syncs directly into 7shifts, giving you more accurate insights and reporting.

⚠️ Access to this integration may require an upgrade from your existing plan.

⚠️ For assistance with completing setup and integration troubleshooting, please contact Brunswick Bowling's Support team at +1 (800) 937-2695.

Adding the Integration

⚠️ Requires purchase of a zero-fee plan through Brunswick Bowling and submission and a service request.

To get started, contact a Brunswick Bowling Account manager or Sales Representative to grant authorization that is required for the integration. Any questions regarding the set-up process are managed by Brunswick Bowling's Technical Support team.

Actual Sales & Forecasting

Once your integration has been activated, your real-time sales data will be enabled by default. 7shifts will also use those Actual Sales values to populate Projected Sales, allowing you to create schedules based on those projections.

After activating your integration, please note that sales projections may not appear immediately. It can take approximately 1-2 weeks from the activation date for sales projections to become visible, covering up to four weeks into the future. These will become more accurate over time as more data is available.

You can manually import sales data for more immediate projections. To do this, import hourly sales each day or individual receipts consistently. You can learn more about sale projections here.

Sales Accuracy

To ensure accurate reporting and matching sales totals, both 7shifts and Brunswick Bowling POS must both be configured in the same time zone and have work day hours spanning from 5:00 AM to 5:00 AM.

Sales sync from Brunswick Bowling to 7shifts every minute. Once connected, sales information will begin populating in the following areas:

  • Sales vs. Labor Dashboard
  • Manager Log Book
  • Actuals Report
  • Labor Budget Tool
    • Projected Sales: When creating future schedules, 7shifts automatically uses historical sales data to generate sales projections in the Labor Budget Tool. This feature enables more accurate scheduling, helping you stay within budget and achieve your labor targets.

Actual Labor

We integrate with Brunswick Bowling for Actual Labor, this means that your actual labor costs will be pulled into 7shifts. Once enabled, your actual labor costs will be displayed on the Dashboard allowing you to compare Sales vs. Labor.

You'll see the labor numbers update on the Dashboard on the day you enabled Brunswick Bowling actual Labor. Going forward, these numbers will be updated daily from your Brunswick Bowling terminal.

Schedule Enforcement

You can now ensure staff only clock into Brunswick Bowling when they're scheduled to work. In turn, this allows you to control and reduce labor costs.

Here's how it works: Shifts are automatically synced to your Brunswick Bowling POS. Staff clock in/out on Brunswick Bowling. Brunswick Bowling will then validate whether that employee is scheduled to work and can clock in. If they are scheduled to work, they will be allowed to clock in.

⚠️ If the employee isn't scheduled to work at that time, they will not be allowed to clock in unless a manager overrides.

  1. Head to Brunswick Bowling POS.
  2. Click Time Clock Configuration.
  3. Enable Use Grace Period.
  4. Select a timeframe (in minutes) from the dropdown menu.
  5. Hit Save and Continue.

Integration Warnings in Time Clocking

Once your POS labor is syncing into 7shifts, you will see a Warnings tab when reviewing your current pay period. This tab highlights punches missing a role in your POS/7shifts labor data that may need attention before running payroll.

These warnings appear directly in Time Clocking > Pay Periods > Warnings, helping you quickly identify and fix issues with labor data flowing in from the POS.

You can resolve most issues right from the Warnings tab, and you can still close your pay period even if some warnings remain.
