Why is my bank account being disabled when I try to add it for payroll?

The bank account I'm trying to add for payroll is automatically disabled.

What To Do

You’ll need to use a different bank account, specifically, a business checking account. Consumer accounts and savings accounts cannot be used for payroll.

Your account is being disabled because it was identified as either a consumer (personal) account or a savings account. Our payroll processor does not allow these account types because they do not permit ACH debits, which are required to fund payroll.

To proceed, replace the account with a business checking account that supports ACH debits.
