Quantic POS
Quantic POS integrates with 7shifts to sync sales data in near real-time, keep labor information up to date, and optionally enforce schedules at clock-in.
Things to Know
Supported by Quantic. Quantic manages the setup and configuration process. For help with setup, connection settings, or troubleshooting, contact Quantic Support directly at cs@getquantic.com.
- Access to this feature may require an upgrade from your existing plan.
- Only unpaid breaks are supported with the Quantic integration.
Add the Integration
You can get your access token and Location ID(s) from 7shifts by heading to Settings > Developer Tools. For setup assistance, contact Quantic Support at cs@getquantic.com.
- Head to Quantic's App Store and under Third Party Apps, locate 7shifts.
- In the pop-up module, subscribe to 7shifts:
- Select the 7shifts account you want to sync with Quantic POS and follow the steps to grant access.
- You will be redirected to Quantic's mapping page. Single-location accounts will map automatically. Multi-location accounts can switch between locations using the tabs, then click Save.
- Verify and map employees and roles:
- Click Sync New Role to create and push new roles from Quantic to 7shifts.
- Click Sync New Employee Data to create and push new employees from Quantic to 7shifts:
- Employees will automatically map if they match in both systems by first and last name.
- Employee details sync one-way from Quantic to 7shifts. When you add or update employees in Quantic, click Sync New Employee Data to bring those changes into 7shifts. Updates made in 7shifts will not sync back to Quantic.
-
(optional for Schedule Enforcement) If you have Schedule Enforcement enabled in 7shifts, select the Module Settings tab, enable Scheduling, and set a grace period:
Schedule Enforcement
Schedule Enforcement ensures staff can only clock into Quantic when they are scheduled to work, allowing you to control and reduce labor costs.
Shifts are automatically synced from 7shifts to Quantic. When an employee attempts to clock in, Quantic validates whether that employee is scheduled to work. If the employee is scheduled, they are allowed to clock in. If the employee is not scheduled to work at that time, Quantic will not allow them to clock in unless a manager overrides.
Actual Sales and Forecasting
Once your integration has been activated, your real-time sales data will be enabled by default. 7shifts will also use those Actual Sales values to populate Projected Sales, allowing you to create schedules based on those projections. These will become more accurate over time as more data is available.
After activating your integration, please note that sales projections may not appear immediately. It can take approximately 1–2 weeks from the activation date for sales projections to become visible, covering up to four weeks into the future. These will become more accurate over time as more data is available.
You can manually import sales data for more immediate projections. To do this, import hourly sales each day or individual receipts consistently. You can learn more about sales projections here.
- Both 7shifts and Quantic POS must be configured with the same time zone and workday hours (5:00 AM to 5:00 AM).
- Sales data syncs from Quantic POS once receipts are closed and paid in Quantic.
- It may take a few hours for the system to bring in previous sales. If they do not appear initially, check back in a few hours.
- It takes approximately 1–2 weeks of data collection for initial sales projections to appear.
- 7shifts will sync sales data into the Dashboard, Manager Log Book, Actuals Report, and the Labor Budget Tool.

When building schedules for future weeks, 7shifts will automatically use past historical sales data to generate and insert sales projections. This feature enables more accurate scheduling to help you stay on budget and within your labor targets.
Actual Sales data will initially be empty for the current or future days until sales data starts rolling in. Once sales numbers are pulled into 7shifts, they will be displayed under the respective days.

Actual Labor
We integrate with Quantic POS for Actual Labor. This means that your actual labor costs will be pulled into 7shifts. Once enabled, your actual labor costs will be displayed on the Dashboard allowing you to compare Sales vs. Labor. You'll see the labor numbers update on the Dashboard on the day you enabled Quantic POS actual Labor.
- Time punch edits should be made directly in your POS to avoid data conflicts. If you have enabled 3rd Party Punches, edit the punch in 7shifts instead.

Integration Warnings in Time Clocking
Once your POS labor is syncing into 7shifts, you will see a Warnings tab when reviewing your current pay period. This tab highlights punches missing a role in your POS/7shifts labor data that may need attention before running payroll.
These warnings appear directly in Time Clocking > Pay Periods > Warnings, helping you quickly identify and fix issues with labor data flowing in from the POS.
You can resolve most issues right from the Warnings tab, and you can still close your pay period even if some warnings remain.
