Inviting Employees to 7shifts

Your team requires a valid email address to receive an invite and be able to log in to 7shifts. There are two ways to invite Employees to the Account:

  1. Invite all Employees in one click
  2. Invite an individual Employee

Invite all Employees

Your management team can send an invitation to all of your employees at once:

  1. Log in to the web app > head to Team in the left navigation bar:

  2. Click on the Invite Employees button at the top of the page. This will send out an invite to users in the account who have not previously accepted an invitation:


    Managers will also have the opportunity to click on the Invite Employees banner on the Dashboard, Schedule page, Employees page, and in Team Messaging.

Invite an Individual Employee

Your management team can manually send an invite to an Employee. Use the tabs to select your device:

  1. Log in to the mobile app > click on the menu iconmenuicon.png in the bottom navigation bar > select My Team.
  3. Tap into an Employee profile.

  4.  Scroll to the bottom of the Profile tab > click Invite to 7shifts:

    If an email has not been set, you'll encounter an error message asking you to add an email address. To do this, tap Edit in their profile > add a valid email  > tap Save.

Sent Invitations

After you invite an employee to 7shifts, they are immediately sent an email prompting them to accept the invite and set a password, as well as links to download the 7shifts mobile app (available for iPhone and Android).

Here is an example of the email they will receive:


Once an employee has been invited, you'll see the following information in their profile:

  • when the invite was sent
  • when the invite will expire
  • whether the employee has accepted the invitation or not

The invite will expire after 5 days if the Employee has not accepted it. You can resend the invite by heading to their employee profile and clicking Resend Invite:

To review all Employee invitations, head to Team  and use the filters to see:

  • Employees who are missing contact information
  • If they require an invitation to 7shifts
  • If their invite was sent but still needs to be accepted

  • Reference the status icons for who still needs to be sent an invitation, and who received an invitation but needs to accept it:
