Operations and Enterprise Overview add-ons
The Operations Overview add-on in 7shifts lets you monitor real-time sales, labor, and employee performance data across all your locations in one view. It's available as a paid add-on for accounts with an active POS sales integration.
Things to know
Important: Operations Overview requires an active POS sales integration and either 7punches or a POS integration with Actual Labor enabled.

- Admins and Managers/Assistant Managers with the appropriate permissions can access the Operations Overview and Enterprise Overview.
- After purchasing the add-on, the 7shifts Support team will follow up by email to confirm it's been enabled for your account.
Enabling Operations Overview
You can enable Operations Overview from your account settings. Once billing is complete, the add-on activates and the relevant dashboard tabs become visible.
- In the left navigation bar, select Settings > Add-ons.
- In the list of add-ons, find and click Operations Overview.
- Click Enable Operations Overview.
- Complete the billing prompts. The add-on activates once billing is confirmed.
If you have multiple locations within the same 7shifts account, the Location Overview and Engage Overview tabs will appear on your Dashboard page.
If your locations span multiple 7shifts accounts, you'll have access to the Enterprise Overview and Engage Overview.
Location Overview
The Location Overview displays a breakdown of sales and labor data across all locations within the same 7shifts account. You can view combined totals, compare against projections and prior weeks, and export results as a CSV.
- On the Dashboard, click the Location Overview tab.
- Review the combined totals row at the top, which shows the following data compared to the previous week:
- Total Sales: total actual sales across all locations
- Average Labor: average actual labor percentage across all locations
- Average SPLH: average sales per labor hour across all locations
- Total OT Hours: total actual overtime hours accrued across all locations
- Review the per-location rows below, which show:
- Sales: total actual sales
- vs. Projected: difference between actual and projected sales
- Labor: actual labor percentage
- vs. Scheduled: difference between scheduled and actual labor percentage
- SPLH: sales per labor hour based on actual sales and labor
- OT Hours: total actual overtime hours accrued
- Totals: the final row provides a sum of each column
- Use the filters along the top panel to sort by date range, day, week, or month.
- Click Export to download the report as a CSV file.
Engage Overview
For accounts with multiple locations, the Engage Overview shows Engage scores across all locations in one view. You can filter by date range, week or month, and employee type, and export results as a CSV.
Important: The Engage Overview in 7shifts is visible to Admins and Managers/Assistant Managers with the appropriate permissions enabled.
Important: If your 7shifts account has only one location, the Engage Overview tab won't be available. View your Engage data from the Engage tab in the top navigation bar instead.
- On the Dashboard, click the Engage Overview tab.
- Use the filters along the top panel to sort by date range, week or month, and employee type.
- Click Export to download the report as a CSV file.

Enterprise Overview
The Enterprise Overview is for enterprise clients who manage multiple 7shifts accounts. It lets you view sales, labor, and Engage data across all accounts in one place, and switch between accounts without logging out.
Important: Before enabling the Enterprise Overview in 7shifts, confirm that you're using the same email address and password across all accounts you want to connect.
Viewing sales and labor in Enterprise Overview
- Log in to your account. You'll be taken directly to the Enterprise Overview.
- Review the combined totals row, which shows the following data compared to the previous week across all accounts and locations:
- Total Sales: total actual sales
- Average Labor: average actual labor percentage across all locations
- Average SPLH: average sales per labor hour across all locations
- Total OT Hours: total actual overtime hours accrued across all locations
- Review the per-location rows, which show:
- Sales: total actual sales
- vs. Projected: difference between actual and projected sales
- Labor: actual labor percentage
- vs. Scheduled: difference between scheduled and actual labor percentage
- SPLH: sales per labor hour based on actual sales and labor

Navigating between accounts
You can switch between separate 7shifts accounts without logging out and back in. You'll need the same email address and password across all accounts you want to toggle between. For more detail, see Switching between 7shifts accounts.
- In the top left corner, select the Enterprise dropdown.
- Choose the appropriate company name to go directly to that account.
- Repeat to navigate between accounts.
Enterprise Overview for Engage
You can view Engage stats across all accounts through the Engage tab in the Enterprise Overview.
- Click the Engage tab.
- Select Week or Month layout, set the date range, and filter by employee type.
- Filter and sort stats using the top panel categories.
- Click Export to download the report as a CSV file.
