Why Is My Tip Pooling Report Empty or Missing Data in 7shifts?
This article provides troubleshooting steps to resolve instances where your 7shifts Tip Pool report appears empty or is missing specific employee information.
Issue
The Tip Pool report is showing no data, is missing specific roles, or appears incomplete for the selected date range.
Cause
Tip Pool reports remain in a "pending" or incomplete state until specific operational requirements are met. Common causes include active employee punches, unmapped roles, or unfinalized timesheets.
What To Do
If your report is missing data, verify the following requirements in 7shifts:
The report will not fully populate until every employee included in that specific tip pool has clocked out for the day.
Employees must clock in and out under the exact Roles that are configured as Contributors or Receivers in your Tip Pool settings. If an employee clocks into a role not included in the pool, their data will not appear.
Ensure that tips were actually recorded in the POS (for POS Tip Pooling) or entered during the clock-out process (for 7punches Declared Tips). If zero tips were recorded, no data will populate.
Tip Pool reports often require timesheets for the selected date range to be reviewed and closed to finalize calculations.
Note: If you are using a POS integration, ensure the sync has completed for the day. Data typically takes a few minutes to flow into 7shifts after an employee clocks out in the POS.
