Why Employee Roles from Qu POS Keep Reverting in 7shifts

Issue

If you're using the 7shifts integration with your Qu POS, you may find that employee Roles revert to old assignments after you change them. You might remove an old Role from an employee's profile in 7shifts, only for it to reappear 15-20 minutes later.

This happens because the inactive Role is still assigned to the employee's profile within Qu, causing the old information to reappear in 7shifts.

What To Do

Prerequisites

⚠️ You'll need Admin access or the necessary permissions to edit employee profiles in your Qu POS account.

To permanently remove an old Role, you must unassign it from the employee's profile directly within Qu:

  1. Log in to your Qu POS account.
  2. Navigate to the employee profile you need to edit.
  3. Locate their list of assigned job Roles.
  4. Completely remove or unassign any old or inactive Roles from their profile.

    Please note: Adding an end date to a Role in Qu will not solve the issue. 7shifts does not recognize end dates for Roles and will sync any Role that is still assigned to the employee.

  5. Save your changes in Qu.

After you save the changes and the systems sync again, the employee's profile in 7shifts will correctly show only their current Roles.
