Can updating an employee’s address in 7shifts also update their paystub address?

Can an employee's address on their paystub be updated by simply changing it in their 7shifts profile?

Answer

No. While updating an employee's address in their 7shifts profile changes their contact information within the system, it does not automatically update the address that appears on their paystubs.

To update the paystub address, the employee must resubmit their Federal I-9 form:

  1. As an Admin, resend an Onboarding Package with the Federal I-9 Form:
    • Navigate to Team > Employees > Onboarding.
    • Click on Send New Package.
    • Fill in the required fields and select the employee.
    • When choosing the forms to send, select only the Federal I-9 form. This form contains the permanent home address information that is linked to payroll.
  2. Have the employee complete and submit the Federal I-9 form with their updated address.

Once the updated Federal I-9 form is submitted by the employee, their new address will appear on future paystubs. If the address still doesn't appear correctly on the next paystub, please contact us.
