Resend an onboarding package

Resending an onboarding package in 7shifts requires you to first change the status of an existing package from In Progress to Complete. Use this process if an employee needs to restart their onboarding or if you need to override previously submitted data.

Things to know


Important: Managers and Assistant Managers require permissions to "Can add employees", "Can edit employees", "Can manage employee documents", "Can send and approve onboarding forms", and "Can view wages" and can only manage packages for their assigned Locations. 

  • Employee Onboarding is available for United States accounts only and is not available in Puerto Rico.
  • Your account country must be the United States of America in Company Settings, and your Location Settings must have a US address.
  • Access to this feature depends on your 7shifts plan.
  • Resending an onboarding package triggers an associated fee.
  • Sending a new package overrides any data the employee previously submitted.

How to resend a package


Mark an in-progress package as complete

  1. Log in to the 7shifts web app.
  2. Navigate to Team > Employees > Onboarding.
  3. Select the In-progress tab.
  4. Click the More Options icon next to the employee's name.
  5. Select Mark Complete.

Send a new onboarding package

  1. From the Onboarding page, click the Send new package button.
  2. Select the employee's name from the dropdown menu.
  3. Follow the prompts to finish sending the new package.
