Edit Your Profile
Your My Account section is where you can view and update personal information associated with your employee profile in 7shifts. Whether you need to update your contact information or manage your notification preferences, this article will walk you through the steps to edit your profile on both the web and mobile app.
Prerequisites
⚠️ First/last names, language, and 2-step verification settings can only be updated via the web app.
⚠️ The Taxes and Payment, Documents, Paystubs, and Tax Forms tab will only be available if enabled by your employer.
Access My Account Settings
To access and view your Account information, use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:
- Log in to the mobile app.
- Tap on your profile photo at the top right.
- Tap on Edit Profile:
- Update your Personal Information details:
- Email: Update your current email address to make sure you can log in and receive important notifications.
- Mobile Number: Add or change your phone number so you can receive SMS updates.
- Pronouns: Select or update your pronouns. Only you can see if you choose "Prefer not to share."
- Birthday
- Punch ID: Your unique ID for clocking in/out at work. This is assigned to you by your Employer.
- Update your Emergency Contact details:
- Contact Name: Add the name of someone to be contacted in case of emergencies.
- Contact Number: Add their phone number to make sure they can be reached quickly if needed.
- Tap on your profile photo to choose an image from your device, or take a picture.
- Be sure to tap Save to complete these changes.
In the General tab,view and update your personal profile details.
- First and last name.
- Email Address: Update your current email address to make sure you can log in and receive important notifications.
- Mobile Number: Add or change your phone number so you can receive SMS updates.
- Password: Reset your password anytime for account security.
- Birth date
- Pronouns: Select or update your pronouns. Only you can see if you choose "Prefer not to share."
- Punch ID: Your unique ID for clocking in/out at work. This is assigned to you by your Employer.
- Language Preference: Change your language settings for a customized experience.
- Profile Photo: Upload or change your profile photo.
- Change your password

Enable 2-step verification
Only available with 7shifts Payroll, if enabled in the Account by your Employer.
Under the Taxes and Payment tab, you can:
Tax withholding: Update your tax withholding details, ensuring that your address on 7shifts is accurate before making changes.
Payroll payment options: Manage your payroll payment methods by adding or updating your banking details for direct deposits.
Only available with 7shifts Payroll, if enabled in the Account by your Employer.
The Paystubs tab is where you can view your pay period details, payday information, hours worked, and the corresponding amount earned.

The Tax Forms tab in your 7shifts account is where you can find your W-2 forms. Typically, W-2s for the year are accessible later in January of the following year. If you consent to receiving paperless W-2 statements, they will be available for download here under the Tax Forms tab in your 7shifts account.

The Documents tab will have completed onboarding documents. These might include things like, tax documents, employment forms, company policies or other work-related files
The Notifications tab is where you can manage notification preferences for things like new schedules, shift changes, and more! Simply use the toggles to choose whether you want to get alerts via email, SMS, or push notifications (recommended)
