Edit Your Profile

Your My Account section is where you can view and update personal information associated with your employee profile in 7shifts. Whether you need to update your contact information or manage your notification preferences, this article will walk you through the steps to edit your profile on both the web and mobile app.

⚠️ The Taxes and Payment, Documents, Paystubs, and Tax Forms tab will only be available if enabled by your employer.


Access My Account Settings

To access and view your Account information, use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:

  1. Log in to the mobile app.
  2. Tap on your profile photo at the top left of the dashboard.
  3. Tap on Edit Profile:
  4. Update your Personal Information details:
    • Email: Update email under Login & Security
    • Mobile Number: Add or change your phone number so you can receive SMS updates.
    • Pronouns: Select or update your pronouns. Only you can see if you choose "Prefer not to share."
    • Birthday: Add or edit birthday. 
    • Punch ID: Your unique ID for clocking in/out at work. This is assigned to you by your Employer and cannot be edited. 
  5. Update your Emergency Contact details:
    • Contact Name: Add the name of someone to be contacted in case of emergencies.
    • Contact Number: Add their phone number to make sure they can be reached quickly if needed.
  6. Tap on your profile photo to choose an image from your device, or take a picture.
  7. Be sure to tap Save to complete these changes.
Managing Login & Security

Login & Security is where you can update your email address, password, and manage your Two-Step Verification methods.

  1. Log in to the mobile app.
  2. Tap on your profile photo at the top left of the dashboard.
  3. Tap on Login & Security.

From here you can update:

  • Email Address: Update the email address used to log in to your 7shifts account.
  • Password: Update your current password.
  • Linked Accounts: If you have Google or Apple accounts linked. 
  • Two-factor Authentication: Add, remove, or manage your 2-Step Verification methods.
  • Backup Recovery Codes: View your emergency backup codes.
