Time Off Settings Overview

Here’s an overview of the settings you can adjust to manage time off:

  • Time off Notice: Employees must submit their time off requests at least x days before the requested date. This ensures that management has enough time to accommodate scheduling needs. It’s important to note that Paid Sick Time Off requests do not require any advance notice.

    • Require Comment (Optional): If enabled, this feature mandates that employees provide a comment when submitting a time off request. This can help managers understand the context of the request for better planning.

    • Types of Time Off

      1. Paid Time Off (PTO): Employees can accrue Paid Time Off hours, which will be visible in their Time-Off requests, the Time-Off report, and in payroll exports.

      2. Paid Sick Time Off: Similar to PTO, Paid Sick Time Off hours will also be displayed in the employee's Time-Off requests, within the Time-Off report, and in payroll exports. This ensures that sick leave is accounted for and accessible to both employees and management.

  • Policies: Create policies and assign employees to each applicable policy.
