Manager Access to Wage Data

In 7shifts, Managers and Assistant Managers with the appropriate user permissions can access wage information for employees (within employee profiles, the Schedule page, and various reports).

This is controlled by the 'Can view wages' permission. Once enabled, Managers and Assistant Managers will only be able to see wage data for the employees within the Locations and Departments they are assigned to.

To restrict a Manager’s access to wage data:

Disable the 'Can view wages' and 'Can view reports' permission. By removing these permissions, Managers will no longer have access to wage information within employee profiles, schedules, or wage-related reports.

Managers with 'Can run reports' enabled may still see wage-related data on reports such as the Worked Hours & Wages report—even if 'Can view wages' is disabled. This includes access to wage columns that reflect labor costs for employees they oversee.
