View Overdue Task Lists in 7tasks
Learn how to manage and track overdue tasks in 7tasks to ensure your team stays on top of their responsibilities. This guide will cover how overdue tasks are displayed, and who receives notifications when tasks aren't completed on time.
Prerequisites
⚠️ Any tasks that are overdue past a 2-hour timeframe will no longer be visible.
⚠️ Task reminder notifications can be enabled for the Account, by an Admin, under Tasks > Settings > Send task reminders to employees/Send incomplete task list alerts to managers.
Overdue Task Notifications
- Tasks will be visible on mobile devices from 2 hours before their start time until 2 hours after their due time. This gives employees time to view and complete them when they can.
- Tasks with a set time frame will only appear from the start time until 2 hours after the due time.
- If enabled, Admins and Managers will receive a notification when a task list becomes overdue. Tapping this notification will open the Task Management Tab in the 7shifts app.
- Only Admin and Managers scheduled at all locations are set to receive notifications for overdue or incomplete tasks by design.
View Overdue Tasks
To see what you and your team will see when a task is overdue, use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:
- A notification alerting that a task has not been completed:
- Tapping on the notification will redirect you to the Task Management tab in the app, where overdue task lists will be labelled in red.
- Tap into the overdue task list to reveal the task list details:
Unlike the mobile 7tasks app, the web app doesn't display red indicators for overdue tasks. Instead, you can review the status of tasks on the Overview page.
- Log into the web app.
-
In the left navigation bar, head to Tasks.
- Reference the Task list progress icon, and the due time against your current time:
- When you expand the task details, they will be read-only, and the fields cannot be edited.
