Troubleshoot Log In Issues with 7punches

If you're unable to log into your 7punches app, please check the following questions before reaching out to your support team.

  • Confirm that your app is updated to the latest version available.

    iPhone:
    7shifts App Store.
    7punches App Store
    .

    Android:
    7shifts Google Play.
    7punches Google Play.

  • Does the App give you an option to enter your email or password when the app is opened, or does the error message appear immediately?

  • If the email and password fields do not appear on the App, the App is holding onto a Saved Login. It's possible that the email or password for this login has been changed and this is why the error is occurring.
  • To correct this there are two options depending on the type of Device the customer listed above.

    • iPhone:

      Close the App > Navigate to the Device settings > General > iPhone Storage > 7shifts/7punches > Offload App > Reinstall App.


      Android:

      Close the App > Navigate to the Device settings > Apps > 7shifts/7punches > Storage > Clear Data / Clear Cache > Open the App > Enter the new email and password info > Login.
  • If this error occurs when you're entering your email or password to login to the 7punches App.

    • Confirm the spelling of the email address you are using or reset your password.

  • Is this situation occurring when users are attempting to Punch in with their Punch IDs after you've logged into the 7punches App?

    • This is to identify if it is an actual login error or an issue with your Punch ID.
    • If it is due to the email login, feel free to ignore this question as an option.

  • The issue or error message you're receiving (screenshots are most welcome).
  • The type of mobile device you are using. Is this an iPhone or an Android device?
  • What version of the app is installed? This can be found in the app by tapping on the 3 horizontal lines and scrolling to the bottom (a screenshot would be great).
  • Your device's Operating System (Software Version). This typically can be found in device settings > General > About. If an update for your phone software, or for the mobile app is needed, please run it.
