How do I remove myself from this Account?
You can't delete your own profile from 7shifts, and 7shifts Support can't remove or deactivate profiles on your behalf for security reasons. To be removed from a 7shifts account, you need to be deactivated by a Manager or Admin, or transfer ownership if you're the Account Owner.
Why This Happens
7shifts restricts profile deactivation to authorized roles within the account to protect account security. This means the action must be taken by someone with the appropriate permissions, not by the affected employee or by Support.
What To Do
Follow the steps for your role:
- Employees and Managers: Contact your direct Manager or the account Admin and ask them to deactivate your profile. While you wait, you can disable your notifications in your personal settings.
- Admins: Only the Account Owner can remove your permissions and deactivate your profile. Contact the Account Owner to request deactivation.
- Account Owners: You can't be deactivated while you hold the Account Owner role. You must first transfer account ownership to another user. Once the new owner accepts, they can deactivate your profile. If the business is closing, you can also cancel the 7shifts account.
⚠️ Important: A 7shifts account must always have one active Account Owner. You cannot be deactivated while you still hold this role.
If you are the current Account Owner and wish to leave the account, you must first transfer account ownership to another user. Once the new owner has accepted, they can then deactivate your profile. Alternatively, if the entire business is closing, you may choose to cancel the 7shifts account.
