Offer Up a A Part of Your Shift
Offering up a shift allows you to request a shift swap directly through the 7shifts mobile or web app.
Here's a detailed guide on how to offer up a partial shift for your team members to bid on.
Prerequisites
⚠️ To offer up a partial shift, this feature must be enabled by your Employer. Contact them for more details.
Offer Up a Part of Your Shift
Use the tabs to change your viewing preferences through the mobile or web app:
- Log in to the mobile app.
- Click on the Schedule
icon at the bottom of your screen.
- Tap on the shift you'd like to offer up:
- Tap Find Cover.
- Tap Offer Up.
- Next, use the slider to disable Full Shift, and choose to:
- Set your Start/End times that you'd like to offer up.
- Offer up the shift to coworkers that share the same role.
- Offer up the shift to a specific Employee.
- Leave a message for your coworkers about this shift.
- Tap Offer up. You'll be notified when a co-worker takes your shift and it has been approved by a Manager. Until then, its your shift.
- If you change your mind and want to keep this shift, head to the shift from the Dashboard (or the Schedules and Dashboard pages) > tap Take back.
- We'll send you a notification once your shift has been taken:
- Log in to the web app.
- Click on the Schedule tab in the left navigation bar.
- Click Offer up shift under the shift you'd like to offer up:
- In the pop-up window, toggle Offer up part of shift and:
- Offer up the shift to coworkers that share the same role.
- Offer up the shift to a specific Employee.
- Set the time frame for which you'd like to offer.
- Leave a message for your coworkers about this shift.
- Click Offer up.
- You'll be notified when a co-worker takes your shift and it has been approved by a Manager. Until then, its your shift.
- If you change your mind and want to keep this shift, head to the shift from the Dashboard (or the Schedules and Dashboard pages) > tap Take back.
