Grant Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Access in Alabama
A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an external organization or service provider that manages payroll and employee benefits on behalf of a company. To comply with Alabama state regulations, 7shifts Payroll customers may need to grant Check (our payroll processing partner) TPA access to the Alabama Department of Revenue and the Alabama Department of Labor. This enables Check to handle payroll-related communications directly with the department on your behalf.
Steps to Authorize Check as Your TPA in Alabama:
Alabama — Dept. of Revenue (AL SIT)
Required for: Amendments and Notice resolution
Note: The employer will need to provide their Sign-on ID and Access Code. Both should be all numbers and not the same as the company’s user ID login credentials. The employer should have received a letter from the agency when they registered with this information, but if they do not have it, they can call the agency at 334-242-1170 and request an agent send this to them via email.
- Navigate to Other Actions → Manage Third Party Access to my accounts.
- Set Allowed = Yes (Are you sure? Yes).
- Set Default Access = Third Party.
- Set Default Account Access = Full Access.
Alabama — Workforce (AL SUI)
Required for: Amendments and Notice resolution
- We must have a notarized POA in order to achieve account access.
