Abbreviations used on the 7shifts

This page explains the abbreviations you may see across the 7shifts schedule, timesheets, and reports.

Schedule abbreviations

These abbreviations appear directly on the schedule view.

M — Minor. Indicates an employee who is classified as a minor based on their age.
SPLH — Sales per labor hour. Shows how much revenue is generated, sales divided by labor hours
IPLH — Items per labor hour. Shows how many items are sold for every hour of labor, Items sold divided by labor hours.
- In projected views, these metrics use scheduled labor hours. In actual views, they use hours worked.
CL — Close. Indicates a closing shift.
BD — Business decline. Indicates a shift scheduled until business slows down.” It does not mean the shift has already been reduced or cut.
POS — Point of sale. Refers to the POS system integrated with your 7shifts account.
Act. — Actual. Values based on recorded work, such as time punches.
Proj. — Projected. Estimated values based on scheduled shifts, not confirmed worked time.

These abbreviations appear in timesheets and labor reports.

OT — Overtime.
Reg. — Regular hours or regular pay, depending on the column.
CC — Credit card. Refers to credit card tips in tips reporting.
Sched. — Scheduled hours, rather than hours worked.
Avg. — Average. Check the column heading to see what's being averaged.
YTD — Year to date. The total for the measure shown in that column, from the start of the year to the current date.
Qual OT — Qualified overtime premium earnings. This is not the total amount of overtime pay.
Qual OT YTD — Qualified overtime premium earnings year to date.
