Grant Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Access in Michigan
To comply with Michigan state regulations, 7shifts Payroll customers must grant Check Technologies TPA access to Michigan State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) so that Check Technologies can manage payroll-related communications and filings on your behalf.

Important: The Third Party Administrator (TPA) services begin date must be set at the start of a calendar quarter.
- A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an external organization that manages payroll and employee benefits for a company.
- 7shifts Payroll uses Check Technologies as a payroll processing partner to handle tax agency communications.
- TPA authorization ensures Check Technologies has the legal permission to update and submit wage details and tax payments for your business.
Grant TPA access to Michigan SUI
- Log in to the Michigan Employer Homepage and locate the Associated TPA(s) header.
- Select TPA Authorization.
- Select New on the Third Party Administrator (TPA) Authorization screen.
- Enter 50000438 in the TPA ID field on the Assign Third Party Administrator (TPA) screen.

On the Third Party Administrator (TPA) Information screen, enter the TPA services begin date and TPA services end date (if desired).
Note: The TPA services begin date must be at the start of a calendar quarter and the TPA services end date, if entered, must be at the end of a calendar quarter. - In the Unassigned Roles section, select the checkbox for any roles you wish to assign to the TPA. This will determine the access the TPA has to information on the employer account.

- Wage Detail Update and Submit
- Edit Rate Notice and Voluntary Contribution
- Select Save to move the selected roles to the Assigned Roles section.
