How to View an Employee's Time Off Balance History

Can I see who adjusted an employee's time off balance?

Answer:

Yes. In 7shifts, you can view a complete audit log of all changes made to an employee’s paid time off (PTO) balance. This is especially helpful if you notice an incorrect or negative balance and need to understand why.

⚠️ Prerequisites: You must be an Admin or a Manager/Assistant Manager with the “Can manage time off” permission enabled.


How to view time off balance history:

  1. In the 7shifts web app, go to Team > Employees.
  2. Select the employee whose balance you want to review.
  3. Open the Time Off tab in their profile.
  4. Next to the current balance, click View Balance History.

What you’ll see

The balance history window shows a log of all adjustments, including:

  • Date of each change
  • User who made the change
  • Any notes included with the adjustment
