How to Send A Message

Messaging in 7shifts provides a two-way communication tool for staying connected with your managers and coworkers. You can send a quick note, share important updates, create custom group chats, and even message specific groups by location, department, or role.

With 7shifts Messaging, you can:

  • View and participate in chats for any Location, Department, or Role group that you're assigned to.
  • Start individual conversations or create custom group chats.
  • Use Roster Talk to message coworkers by their scheduled shifts.

Prerequisites

⚠️ To ensure that the correct users receive your message, Admins must have Assignments and Locations/Departments/Roles set up in the Account.

⚠️ Admins and Managers can manage assignments, which ensures that specific groups are participants within Channel Message (by location, role, department).

⚠️ At this time, read receipts are not supported with Messages.
