Why Are My Toast Declared Tips Not Showing in 7shifts?

Declared tips from Toast are not syncing or appearing in 7shifts when using 7punches for time clocking.

What To Do

If you are using 7punches for time clocking and Toast for tip data, declared tips from Toast will not automatically sync to 7shifts. This is because Toast declared tips are tied to employee punches in Toast, and 7shifts does not pull punch data from Toast when 7punches is enabled.

There are two ways to get declared tips into 7shifts:

Option 1: Switch to Toast for Time Clocking

This option allows 7shifts to pull labor data, including declared tips, directly from Toast.

1. Configure Toast to be your primary time clocking system.
2. Ensure that Toast labor data, including declared tips, is set to sync with 7shifts.

Option 2: Enable Declared Tips in 7shifts

This option allows employees to declare their tips directly within the 7punches app when they clock out.

1. Log in to your 7shifts account as an Admin.
2. In the left navigation bar, select Time Clocking.
3. Select Settings.
4. Enable the Declared Tips setting.
5. Hit Save to complete these changes.
