Duplicate Employee ID Error

Issue

I'm getting error message that there is another employee with the same Employee ID. Does each Employee ID need to be unique?

What to Do

Employee IDs must be unique across all employees. When a duplicate is detected, an error message will display the name of the employee already using that ID.

Click the employee's name in the error message to open their profile in a new tab. From there, you can update one of the two Employee IDs to resolve the conflict.

Important: Access to the employee profile will depend on your assignments and permissions.
