How to let employees see their tips in the mobile app
Employee Tip Visibility allows team members to view their estimated tip earnings directly within the 7shifts mobile app, promoting transparency and trust.
Things To Know
Important: Admins and Managers with the 'Can create and edit tip pools' permission can manage these settings.
- Enabling this feature applies across the entire 7shifts account, including all Tip Pools at every location.
- 7shifts uses configured Tip calculations to automate figures and determine owed versus paid tip amounts.
- Employees will only see estimated earnings based on the specific Tip Pool configurations.
Manage Employee Tip Visibility Status
- Log in to the 7shifts web app.
- In the left navigation bar, go to Tip Management Tip Pooling.
- Locate the visibility indicator to determine your current status:

Green: Employee timesheet access and Tip Calculation settings are fully enabled and configured.

Yellow: Employee timesheet access is enabled, but some Locations have incomplete Tip Calculation settings. We'll let you know which Locations have incomplete Tips to Payroll settings - please complete them to ensure accurate reporting across your 7shifts Account.

Grey: Both Employee timesheet access and Tip Calculation settings are currently disabled.

Green: Employee timesheet access and Tip Calculation settings are fully enabled and configured.
- To resolve a yellow or grey status, click Enable Employee Tip Visibility.
- Follow the guided setup to complete any missing Tip Calculation requirements for your locations.
