Grant Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Access in Texas

A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an external organization or service provider that manages payroll and employee benefits on behalf of a company. To comply with Texas state regulations, 7shifts Payroll customers must grant Check (our payroll processing partner) TPA access to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). This enables Check to handle payroll-related communications directly with the department on your behalf.

Steps to Authorize Check as Your TPA in Texas:

  1. Login to your TWC online services account: TWC Login
  2. Click on User Admin to the right of the My Home tab.
  3. Select Applicant List under the Quick Links table. You should see Kohl, James; Check Technologies listed.
  4. Under the Action header, click on Review. If you don’t see Kohl, James, it means Check Technologies hasn’t requested access yet due to account setup limitations. Please ensure you have set up an administrator for your TWC account.
  5. On the Review Applicant page, click on the Approve button.
  6. On the User Permissions page, check the boxes for the following permissions:
    • Manage Wage Reports
    • Make Payment
    • View Payment
  7. Click Submit to complete the process.
