Grant Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Access in Indiana

A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an external organization or service provider that manages payroll and employee benefits on behalf of a company. To comply with Indiana state regulations, 7shifts Payroll customers must grant Check (our payroll processing partner) TPA access to the Uplink Employer Self Services (ESS) portal. This enables Check to handle payroll-related communications directly with the department on your behalf.

Steps to Authorize Check as Your TPA in Indiana:

  1. Log in to ESS.
  2. In the left sidebar, navigate to User Maintenance > User Information.
  3. Expand the section labeled External Account Authorizations (Agent).
  4. Click Add Agent.
  5. Leave the Agent Business Name field blank and enter Check Technologies’ Agent ID: 120389.
  6. Click Next on the agent line.
  7. Under Authorization Level, select Wage Records.
  8. Check the Important Information box and click Next to complete the process.
