Grant Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Access in Iowa

A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an external organization or service provider that manages payroll and employee benefits on behalf of a company. To comply with Iowa state regulations, 7shifts Payroll customers must grant Check (our payroll processing partner) TPA access to the Iowa Workforce Development portal. This enables Check to handle payroll-related communications directly with the department on your behalf.

Steps to Authorize Check as Your TPA in Iowa:

  1. Log in to myIowaUI.
  2. Click Assign Agent in the left sidebar.
  3. When prompted, enter Check Technologies’ Agent Number: R2579839.
  4. Under Assign UI Account Roles, select the following:
    • Manage Payments
    • Submit/Change Wage Detail
    • View Transaction History
