Rearrange Roles on the Schedule

In the 7shifts web app, you can change the display order of roles on the Schedule when using the List by Role and Time Frames layouts

Prerequisites

⚠️ Managers/Assistant Managers require permission 'Can manage roles'. They can only access Role settings for their assigned Locations/Departments.

⚠️ Rearranging roles is only available on the web app.

Follow these steps to customize the order roles: 

  1. Log in to the web app as an Admin or Manager/Assistant Manager with permissions.
  2. Head to Settings (or, click your profile icon) > Location/Department/Roles. Managers/Assistant Managers will only see the Roles option.
  3. Hover beside the Role you want to move.
  4. Drag and drop the role into the desired sequence:
